Temple Visit last week

Had been to some old temples near Vellore, Tamilnadu -
1. Thiruvalam
Surprised to see such a nice temple in the Chennai - Ranipet- Chittoor road, many times i have passed by this place but never had "time" to visit it. Spent a good 45 minutes inside the temple. Well maintained.
2. Vallimalai
Surprised to see a cave temple for Lord Muruga. This place is between Thiruvalam and Ponnai.

Week before last visited Pulipakkam, this is the hill on the Chingelpet Chennai road just after the toll gate if you are traveling to Chingelpet. Very small temple but the view from this hill is great.

Doomed to be Universities under section 3 of UGC act

Hue and cry is being raised on all quarters about these doomed universities in India, most of them in Tamil Nadu. But why are these questions not answered?

1. Who was responsible for giving them affiliation as Doomed Universities?
2. Why is nothing being done to those who granted affiliation?
3. When there were reports appearing in media about these Doomed Universitites what was the government doing/
4. What is the guarantee that this will not get repeated again?
5. Will we EVER compete with other countries in education? Can we?

As a next step there will be people who will say that Doomed Universities must not exist and everything should be with the government. Remember Anna University Coimbatore in recent times?

As usual the rule of this land is to catch the innocent and torture him, while letting rich corrupt people get away.

Traffic rule violation in Chennai

Day before yesterday, the police caught me in mylapore for violating the traffic rule - turning left on NO FREE LEFT. So I asked the policeman for the board which says FREE LEFT NOT ALLOWED or NO FREE LEFT - something to that effect. He replied that he usually does not catch any one but since it is Deepavali time he has to collect some fine. Paid Rs. 100/- in the receipt he did not mention anything...

But I have now on resolved to violate as much rules as possible. That will help me have peace of mind so that I get value for fine..... that these police guys collect...

Thanks police for asking a law abiding citizen to change.....

Laloo Again - Indian Railways makes another announcement

Only for unreserved tickets

The first time our minister tells that he has reduced the amount by Re. 1. That made headlines in India.

Today we had the taillines - what else do you call a small note that appears in the paper?

This informs us that Re. 1 discount is for unreserved tickets.....

But the news is out that Laloo is for poor people !!!!

BTW, is it only poor people who travel 2nd class unreserved?

My Dream Book: Object Orientation and Advaita

My Dream Book which I am planning to write one day...

is Object Orientation and Advaita.

Most of the time people write a book, because they do not understand the concept well....
and want to get reviews from those who have understood it well.. if not, why should they
ask others to review?

But I want to write a book after I understand the concepts...so that there can be no reviewers...

Atleast something is missing right now....Don't know which ones...

Indian Railways or How Laloo was able to reduce the cost by Re 1?

Indian Railways have reduced the 2nd Class Fares by 1 Rupee (1 USD approx is 43 Rupees):-

Actually most of the Southern railway employees are involved in Multi Level Marketing - that's what I was able to see after attending a MLM campaign last sunday where there were many of them were platinum / bronze and diamond sellers...

Not sure whether these guys work in office or sell powder, toothpaste and brushes...

Days are not far off when you are asked to buy a tooth brush if you want to book your ticket...

God Save My Mother Land...and travellers in Southern Railway...

And may be that's the reason Lallu was able to reduce the price by Re. 1 for the second class and attract lots of travellers, since these MLM guys were not generating enough revenue for Railways?
