Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya - Tamil Film - A review

First of all it looks like most of the directors / story writers in Tamil Cinema think that the population which goes for movies are fools of the highest order. Gautam Menon tries to prove this point in this movie. Here is the story line.. a 'x' year old boy falls in so called "love" with a 'x+1' year old madam, and in most part of the movie mentions that if x is 49 then x+1 is 50 and if x is 80, x+1 is 81 etc. The other role this x year old boy plays is to go behind this 'x+1' year old madam, and then ensure that this madam says what this x year old boy wants her to say which she wants to but does not say (Got the twist?? ). The madam does not say so.. the director / story writer gets now confused - so he brings in another director and the story writer is our 'x' year old boy. He produces a movie ( producing movies in Tamilnadu can be done by any one - next election announcement is that every family can produce one free movie) and the climax is whether the climax of movie within the movie is the climax of the movie. In between A R Rahman plays the background "love" music and the whole cinema crew visits Europe, US etc. Need i say more?
